| BackgroundDiabetic peripheral neuropathy,featured as chronic disease,is one of the most serious complication of diabetes mellitus.It can induce chronic complications of multiple serious systems,being a primary cause of mutilation and mortality.Current treatments for diabetic peripheral neuropathy include life style intervention and medication.Researches indicate that with prolongation of the course,the function of nerve cells gradually decreases,thus nerve conduction velocity becomes slower. Researches indicate that bringing in Chinese medicine in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy,can not only significantly improve the symptoms,but also higher the nerve conduction velocity and reduce the dosage of drugs.Therefore,this study aimed to sum up the cases of treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with Chinese medicine using retrospective analysis,investigate the frequencies of symptoms,the differentiation for syndrome classification and the Chinese clinic prescriptions,and then analyze the features of clinical cases,in order to promote the treatment of DPN with Chinese medicine and lay the foundation for the in-depth study..Object:1.To collect information of diabetic peripheral neuropathy informational by using the structurally clinic informational gathering system designed for data mining to analyze symptoms,prescriptions,types of Chinese medicine of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.2.To prove the objectivity and practicability of structurally clinic informational gathering system.Method:1.Source of cases:Patients receiving treatment from seven hospitals during Jun.2003 to Mar.2009.2.Criteria for admission:the case must(1) meet the 1999 WHO diagnostic criteria for diabetes,type 2 DM.(2) meet the 2007 ADA diagnostic criteria for diabetic peripheral neuropathy.(3) meet the 1994 GB/T 16571.2-1997 diagnostic criteria for diabetic peripheral neuropathy.(4) be treated with Chinese medicine according to the syndrome differentiation.3.Research Method:Using retrospective case survey method,the cases meeting the entry criteria were included.Based on C/S architecture,with software of power builder and visual basic language,we adjust structural module of system of clinic informational gathering to diabetic peripheral neuropathyinformational.4.The outcome was analyzed according to the statistics of the outcome,with the combination of professional features,and with help of pertinent literature. Studying on 1371 T2-DM with DPN patients to analyze the frequencies of symptoms,the differentiation for syndrome classification and the Chinese clinic prescriptions.Giving comprehensive analysis evaluate to characteristic of Chinese medicine treatment and syndrome differentiation.Result:1.The structurally clinic informational gathering system can establish DPN informational automatically.It makes scientific research mission efficiency and quality.The system can also reserve huge information of diabetic mellitus regularly, objectively and safety.2.Studying result of symptom in diabetic peripheral neuropathyWeakness was the tiptop of frequency among DPN cases,428cases in total, account for 82.5%.It takes the 1st place of symptom of DPN.Polydipsia take the second place.The number of it was 408,account for 78.67%.The number of cases of thirsty was 375,account for 72.17%.blurring vision take the fourth place.The number of it was 371,account for 71.6%.The number of cases of diuresis was 261, account for 50.33%.The result shows that weakness,blurring vision are the most familiar symptom of DPN.Tongue quality of cases mainly appeared dull,red,weak, account for gore,hot and weak mainly.Fur character mainly appeared thin pale fur, yellow greasy fur,account for wet and hot.From the table of pulse manifestation, the manifestations of sufferer's pulse were very dispersedly.Showing pulse manifestations were difference in individual obviously.The type of thready pulse was the tiptop,showing that DPN appears syndrome of deficiency.3.The fenxing result of Chinese traditional medicineThere are 1371cases,achieved fenxing through computers' judgment, among310cases of DPN.The main type of syndrome of both qi and yin deficiency is the tiptop of that of DPN.It shows us that DPN is always permeated by qi and yin deficiency.The accompanying syndrome study result shows that the type of syndrome of wet and gore are more than others.There are 71 kinds of types of syndrome which is thought to be complicated.By using the data mining technique,we have gathered 414 cases of Chinese prescription.The number of single prescription was 243,99 types in total.The number of independent prescription was 13.Among all prescription,Pills of six herbs including rehmannia was 49,account for 15.64%.Pulse Activating Powder was 26,account for 8.23%.Conclusion:1.Insufficiency of both qi and in is the base pathological mechanism of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Also the syndrome of weak,gore is appear frequency.2.Weakness,blurting vision are the most familiar symptom of DPN.3.Anaesthesia,ache and edema are also the most familiar symptom of DPN.4.Supplementing qi and nourishing yin,promoting blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction are the useful treatment5.Among all prescription,Pills of six herbs including rehmannia is the tiptop of frequency.6.Chinese traditional medicine:Supplementing qi and nourishing yin, promoting blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction,removing blood stasis,relieve pain... |
