Objective: Basing on the incisive point of Kidney essence deficiency, weobserved and objectively appraised the effect of modification of Er Long Zuo Ci Wan to Subjective tinnitus. What is more, We tried to probe the action mechanism of Er Long Zuo Ci Wan and to get much more message about the advantage of the modification of Er Long Zuo Ci Wan in treating the Subjective tinnitus.Methods: This clinical study was carried out in three stages. In the first stagewe made a study scheme, we made the diagnosis standard, observation target, mark standard, appraisal standard of efficacy and so on. Finally we fixed the number of patients According to the recent teaching material of statistics. The second stage was clinical study. According to a random number table, we divided the patients into two groups: the test group were treated with the modification of Er Long Zuo Ci Wan,and the control group were treated with Duxil loratading tablet.During the therapeutic period , we observed the changes of the patients' symptoms, signs and adverse reactions. Clinical study was made in the second stage, including collecting patients, grouping randomly and then giving corresponding treatment and taking notebook. The collected data were marshaled, then settled down statistically and analyzed in the third stage.Results: The result shows that the total efficacy of the test group comparingwith that of the control group, according to the statistical analyze , P<0.05. It implies that there are differences in the total efficacy between the modification of Er Long Zuo Ci Wan and Duxil loratading tablet. Comparing the distinct efficacy of the two groups, P<0.05, it implies that the recent efficacy of the modification of Er Long Zuo Ci Wan in treating the subjective tinnitus of Kidney essence deficiency pattern excels that of Duxil loratading tablet.Conclusion: The study shows that Kidney essence deficiency is a commonpattern in patients with tinnitus, and the basic pathologic segment is Kidney Yin deficiency. In the aspect of traditional Chinese medicine, tinnitus could be treated as a Kidney essence deficiency disease. Nourish essence and strengthen Kidney are the primary therapeutic methods. Being aimed at the essence of visceral asthenia and disorder and the pattern of Kidney essence deficiency, being given treatment according to differentiating symptoms, being supported the healthy energy and strengthened the body resistance, with bringing concurrent patterns into treatment, the patients were treated integratively to promote the recovery of the bodies' balance, and that is the traditional Chinese medicine's mechanism of the modification of Er Long Zuo Ci Wan to Subjective tinnitus. The patients' symptoms caused by tinnitus can be ameliorated obviously in a short period by taking the modification of Er Long Zuo Ci Wan. The study tells that the modification of Er Long Zuo Ci Wan is definitely effective to treat Subjective tinnitus, worthy of attaching more importance and further study to it.
