【Objective】To investigate the clinicopathologic features of peripheral T cell lymphoma, unspecified with follicles(PTL-U).【Methods】①The clinical datas, paraffin imbedding slices of lymph node biopsy and follow-up datas of 18 cases of PTL—U as lymphoma group,5 of atypical hyperplasia as intermedial group and 8 of reactive lymph node hyperplasia as control group were included in this study;②Routine histologJc examinations were performed on HE stained slides and semiquantitative observation method by retiform micrometer were applied;③Immunophenotyping analysis were performed in all cases by immunohistochemical(IHC) methods;④TCRγ/βand immunoglobulin H genearrangements on paraffin imbedding slides of lymph node were performed by PCR analysis.【Results】①The median age of presentation was 53 years old(ranged from 4 to 73 years old) and the male-to-female ratio was approximately 1.57:1 in lymphoma group. All lymphoma patients presented with superficial lymphadenectasis accompany with or without B symptoms(fever, night sweats and weight loss),the numbers of lymph node to touch were often exceed 3;②It was characterized byfollieulus lymphaticuses of inequality of amounts, sizes and shape in the lymph node in lymphoma,average(3.17±2.28)/low power field(LPF),lower than control group(5.25±1.04)/LPF and higher than middle group(2.60±0.89) /LPF;③Paracortical areas expanded with moderate size lymphoma cells with clear cytoplasm and irregular nuclei, the mitotic figures were extremely common to see;④There were various degrees of proliferation of postcapillary venules, but there were no statistic values among three groups;⑤In all lymphoma group, immunophenotyping confirmed that lymphoma cells distribute diffusely in the paracortical or interfollicles areas were all T cells immunophenotypes and with the highest positive percentage of Ki-67 among 3 groups,average(38.24±13.42) percent per square millimeter, range from 24.2 to 63 percent per square millimeter,;⑥The detection rate of TCR clonal rearrangement is 72.2%.【Conclusions】Though often confused with reactive lymph node hyperplasia cases,a definitive diagnosis of most cases of this kind of lymphoma can be made based on the comination of clinical features, lymph node pathomorphology, immunophenotype,a few atypical cases can be further identified by PCR analysis and long term follow-up is also necessary. 【Objective】To investigate the role of bone marrow biopsy(BMB) in diagnosis and differential diagnosis for chronic eosinophilic leukemia(CEL).【Methods】The clinical and pathological features of thirteen CEL patients were analyzed retrospectly.Routine histologic examination was performed on H-G-E,reticulin fibers and toluidine blue stained sections with plastic material emdedded samples of bone marrow biopsies.【Results】(1)The male-to-female ratio was 12:1.The median age was 40(23~67) years old. They presented as anemia, hemorrhage, fever and so on.Most of organs and tissues were also be involved,(2) Peripheral blood counts characterized by eosinophilia(18.1±16.2)×10~9/L,(3) BMBshowedeosinophils were predominant components, others such as neutrophils, erythrocytes, megakaryocytes were decrease.Degree of reticular fiber wasfrom(+)to(3+),(4)Follow-upinformation was available in only 4 patients, whose conditions were stable.【Conclusions】Combine with the clinical manifestations of CEL patients,it is important in diagnosis and differential diagnosis for CEL by observing the histomorphology features of bone marrow biopsy carefully.
