Objective:To observe the variation serum CRP and plasma BNP concentration before and after treatment, analyze the change and significance of CRP and BNP in heart failure and investigate its relation,to further illustrate clinical value measuring serum CRP and plasma BNP at the same time.Method:To collect ninty heart failure patients as research target which heart function is obvious improved by clinical treatment, including thirty patients with acute left heart failure(ALHF) and sixty patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).25 essential hypertension patients with compensated cardiac function(CCF) as control group.Serum CRP and plasma BNP levels were measured by immunoturbidometry and ELISA before and after treatment.Results:1.The level of serum CRP and plasma BNP were significantly higher than those of control group(P<0.05) both in sixty CHF patients and thirty ALHF patients. Concentrations of CRP in serum of patients with ALHF were much higher than patients with CHF before treatment(P<0.05).2.The level of serum CRP and plasma BNP in patients with cardiac function NYHA—Ⅲwere significantly higher than ardiac function NYHA—Ⅱ(P<0.05).Group 1V has significantly higher than groupⅡand groupⅢ(P<0.05).Serum CRP and plasma BNP in patients with different cardiac function were significantly higher than control group (P<0.05).3.The serum CRP and plasma BNP levels were significantly decreased when HF was cured in patients both thirty ALHF patients and sixty CHF patients(P<0.05).4.Serum CRP and plasma BNP in CHF patients with different cardiac function were significantly decreased by clinical treatment(P<0.05).5.The linear regression analysis showed that the serum CRP were positively correlated with plasma BNP in CHF(r=0.408,P<0.05).But no association between BNP and CRP in ALHF(r=0.082 P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The level of serum CRP and plasma BNP both ALHF and CHF were significantly higher than those of control group before anti heart failure treatment.Concentrations of CRP in serum of patients with ALHF were much higher than patients with CHF before treatment.2.The level of serum CRP and plasma BNP in CHF with different degree cardiac function were significantly higher than those of control group before treatment. As the cardiac function deteriorated from NYHA1Ⅰto NYHAⅣ,the BNP levels increased consecutively with significant differences from each other. 3.The serum CRP and plasma BNP levels were significantly decreased when HF was cured in patients both ALHF and CHF.There were significant difference in concentrations of plasma BNP before and after treatment.4.Serum CRP and plasma BNP in CHF patients with different cardiac function were significantly decreased with cardiac function improved by clinical treatment.5.The linear regression analysis showed that the serum CRP were positively correlated with plasma BNP in CHF.But no association between BNP and CRP in ALHF.
