Aim:To detect the level of the nitric oxide synthetase of rat penile corpus cavernous in the groups of the zinc or slenium deficient Methods: Thirty male wistar rats werer andomly divided into three groups:Zinc deficienct group(n=10)Which were given the diet of zinc deficient for 5 weeks;slenium deficient group(n=10)which were given the diet of slenium deficient for 5 weeks;Normal group(n=10)which were given the normal diet for 5 weeks After five weeks,The level of the total plasma zinc or selenium were measured by specific method . The level of the nitric oxide synthetase of rat penile corpus cavernous was detected with ultraviolet spectrophotometry. Results: The nitric oxide synthetase of the zinc or slenium deficient rats penile corpus cavernous was descendent to the normal rats; Conclusions:The zinc or slenium deficiency is able to descend the level of the nitric oxide synthetase of rat penile corpus cavernous...
