Fungal infection seriously threats to human's life and health, particularly the mortality is very high with deep fungal infection. At present, more and more fungi resist the many kinds of antifungal drugs, and the situation is becoming more and more serious. So, a lot of scientists has focused on this research.This paper reviewed antifungal mechanism and new progress in antifungal research. In based on imidazole and triazole compounds in clinical applications with powerful anti-fungal activities, with econazole, sulconazole and fluconazole as lead compounds, substituted imidazole or triazole by tetrazole, 13 tetrazole compounds and its isomers of 26 compounds were designed and synthesized. All the target compounds were not reported in the literature and their structure were confirmed by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and HMBC.The anti-fungal activities of the target compounds are under investigation now.
