Object: By means of two methods of the researching the documents and the experimentsto discuss the concept of the Singular Application.Methods:1. Research the ancient and the modern times books to expound and recognizethe Singular Application. 2. The 40 studied Wistar rats were randomly divided intofour groups: normal control group(normal group),model group,Rougui(Cortex Cinnamomi)group, Jiaotai Wan group. After inducing nourishing of the kidney-yang models byinjecting into three groups' (model group, Rougui group, Jiaotai Wan group) rats'legs successfully, two treated groups treated with Decoction of Huanglian and JiaotaiWan were respectively given to two treated groups and the water was given to the normalgroup and the model group by stomach rearing once per day for 20 days. At the endof 20 days ,all of the rats were killed, body weight, left kidney, and the content ofCO and T₃. The results were analyzed with SPSS. 3. The 20 studied Wistar rats wererandomly divided into two groups: Huanglian(Rhizoma Coptidis)group, Jiaotai Wan group.Identify all rats' ECG before treated with Decoction, then the two groups treated withDecoction of Huanglian and Jiaotai Wan by stomach rearing. Identify all rats' ECGagain at three time points:30mins, 60mins and 90mins. The results were analyzed withSPSS.Results:1. there is difference between the ancient and modern experts about theknowledge of Singular Application. Row more and more experts think SingularApplication is a kind of Compatibility Chinese Medicinal Herbs that two medicinalherbs be used together. 2. Rougui group and Jiaotai Wan group were benefit fornourishing of the kidney-yangrats, and the effects are same. 3. Huanglian group andJiaotai Wan group havethe same effects on rats' ECG.Conclusion:1.Singular Application is a kind of Compatibility Chinese Medicinal Herbsthat two medicinal herbs be used together. 2. Huanglian(Rhizoma Coptidis) in JiaotaiWan didn't affect Rougui(Cortex Cinnamomi)' effect nourishing and tonifyingkidney-yang. 3. Rougui(Cortex Cinnamomi) in Jiaotai Wan didn' t affectHuanglian(Rhizoma Coptidis)' effect of clear away sthenicheat of heart. 4. Accordingto the ancient and the modern times books, we can regard Huanglian and Rougui inJiaotai Wan as the Singular Application.
