In the first part of this thesis, the hypoglycemic activities of the 70% ethanol total extract from Opuntia milpa Alta were studied. Preliminary experimental results showed that 70% ethanol total extract from Opuntia milpa Alta had relieving activity on blood glucose in alloxan diabetic mice. 8 Compounds were isolated from the Opuntia milpa Alta by column chromatography on silica gel, sephadex LH-20, HPLC, PTLC, etc. On the basis of physico-chemical properties and spectroscopic analysis, these compounds were elucidated as 1-heptanecanol(1), 1-docosanol(2),β-sitosterol(3), daucosterol(4), 3-O-methyl quercetin(5), p-hydroxybenzoic acid(6), isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-rutinoside(7). Among of them, the compounds (2), (5), (6) and (7) are the first time to be got from the plant.In the second part, we isolated 5 compounds from Oplopanax horridus(Sm.)Miq.. The 5 compounds were identified as: syringin(9), adenosine(10), coniferin(11), 5'-methoxyisolaric-iresinol-3a-O-(3-D-glucopyranoside(12), junipetrioloside(13). Compounds (10) and (13) were isolated from this genus for the first time. |
