Ovarian Insensitivity Syndrome In Western Progress

Objection: The resistant ovary syndrome(ROS)is the hypergonadotropic hypogonadism with elvated gonadotropin level,the existence of numerous primordial ovarian follicles are resistant to gonadotropic stimulation.This disorder first describled by Jones in 1969. ROS has been considered to be one subset of premature ovarian failure. Its etiology is still enigmatic. Numerous primordial but inactivetly follicles are present in ovaries resistant to gonadotropin. At present there are no standard modern medicine treatment,the healing effective power is very low.The clinical features of ROS are similar with POF. In traditional Chinese medicine,ROS is included in amenorrhea,infertility.Traditional Chinese medincine treatment plays an important role in improving the symptoms and quality of life for the ROS patients. This article introduces the progress of ROS etiology, pathology,clinical situations, diagnostic evaluation and treatment in modern medicine and the traditional Chinese medicine in recent years. It is of great important to develop the treatment with combined traditional Chinese-Western medicine.
