Skullcap Quality Standards And Fingerprint To Establish

Baical skullcap root is one of common Chinese herbs with long history in traditional Chinese medicine.A series of studies were taken about Baical skullcap root and some useful conclusion had been maken.But,there were a few study about ingredient and pharmacodynamic action of Baical skullcap root It is necessary for us to study much about it.Chapter 1 This chapter contains two parts. In the first part, documents about theresearch progresses in chemical constituents and pharmacological activities of Baical skullcap root past years were summed up and analyzed, 33 references were cited. In the second part, we made an overview about fingerprint of traditional Chinese medicine.Chapter 2 Four compounds were isolated from the effective fraction of Baical skullcap root. All of them are flavonoids.We verificated three of them including baicalin,wogonin,oroxylin A.Chapter3 Establish methods of determining the flavonoids in the Baical skullcap root.Firstly, the contents of index compounds including baicalin,wogonin,oroxylin A are determined by HPLC. The calibration curves are linear at ranges of 0.1ug～1ug(for baicalin, r=0.9995),0.22ug～2.2ug(for wogonin,r=0.9996),and0.22ug～2.2ug(for oroxylin A, r=0.9995). Average recoveries are 101.38%(RSD=1.47%,n=5), 97.04%(RSD=1.08%,n=5) and 100.652%(RSD=1.33%,n=5)respectively.Secondly, using baicalin as reference substance we determined the content of total flavonoids with HPLC method.Chapter4 In this part we established HPLC fingerprint of Baical skullcap root.So we can accurately control the overall quality of Baical skullcap root withfingerprint.Chapter5 analysis and summary...
