| Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of Jian Pi Jiang Tang decotion in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus diagnosed Qi deficiency of spleen and the disorder of sputum and blood.Methods:In theoretical study , comprehensive roundup was made about type 2 diabetes mellitus on the part of modern medicine and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). Trough systematic reviewing and analysis, utilizing TCM theory, a conclusion was drawn that Qi deficiency of spleen and the disorder of sputum and blood were the pathological mechanism of type 2 diabetes mellitus . As a result, the method of strengthening the spleen and benefiting Qi, resolving phlegm and prompting the circulation of blood was established.In clinical study, patients must be not only conformed to western medicine' s type 2 diabetes mellitus but also conformed to TCM' s Qi deficiency of spleen and the disorder of sputum and blood. The 38 cases were randomly divided into treatment group and control group . Control group was treated only by western medicine, treatment group was added Jian Pi Jiang Tang decotion based on western medicine .A treatment course last 2 months for each group .Before and after treatment, some indexes were observed including clinical symptoms, FBG, 2HBG in OGTT, glycosylated hemoglobin , TC , TG, Fins, ISI etc.Results:Jian Pi Jiang Tang decotion got better effects in eliminating clinical symptoms of patients than control group, especially to the fatigue and breathe hard (P<0.01).
