Headache, Migraine Clinical Efficacy In The Treatment Of Capsule

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficiency and safety of Toutongan capsule on treating migraine additionally to provide scientific basic for clinical treatment.Methods105 cases of migraine were randomly divided into two groups, including sixty patients in treatment in treatment group and the other forty-five patients in control group. Patients in treatment group were treated with Toutongan, capsule three times per day with each time 4 grains, and patients in control group were treated with Yangxueqingnao three times per day with each time one bag. Course of treatment in both groups were three months. It is designed to observe the efficiency of Toutongan capsule and to carry primary observation of the clinical safety.ResultsEven serum velocity of MCA, ACA, PCA of treatment group were slower than control groups (p<0.05). And the hemorheology target of both groups had remarkable changes. Headache of both groups were alleviated after the treatment. Headache duration was obviously shortened. Monthly headache frequency and companying symptom had significant or remarkable changes after treatment (p<0.01 or p<0.05). The points of headache frequency and companying symptom of treatment group was obviously lower than the control group (p<0.05). The improvement of TCM type of treatment group is superior to control group (p<0.05). The total efficiency rates of treatment group and control group were 88.33% and 77.78%. There were significant differences between two groups (p<0.01). The significant effective rate of treatment group surpassed control group.ConclusionToutongan capsule can obviously improve blood microcirculation and clinical symptom of migraine patients. The effect of Toutongan capsule on migraine was safe and effective without side effect.
