Epidemiological Investigation Of Lyme Disease In The Changbai Mountain Area (erdaobaihe)

objective: By checking the serum antibody against Lyme Disease of218 Lyme Disease patients and using the case investigation of the relationship between the Lyem disease and the positive serum antibody against Lyme Disease, study the prevalence and the incidence of the Lyme Disease, offer the theoretic bases of the defending the Lyme Disease. Methods: 1. Using the ELISA Check the serum antibody against Lyme Disease of the 218 Lyme Disease patients who living in the regiaon of ChangBai mountain. 2. Case investigate on the clinical situation related with the Lyme Disease and study the prevalence on patients who were the positive serum antibody against Lyme Disease. Results: Of the 218 patients, 18 are the positive serum antibody against Lyme Disease, infection rate is 8.25%, and the rate on the adult group(26-45 age) is higher than the old age group(super-56 age); 2. Of the 18 positive serum antibody against Lyme Disease patients, 10 patients were bite by the tick in recent 2 years, the bit-rate by tick is 55.55%; 3. None of the positive serum antibody against Lyme Disease patients have the typical erythema chronic migratory(ECM), but some of them have the myalgia, arthritis, abnormity of heart function. Conclusion: 1. There is prevalence of the Lyme Disease in the ChangBai mountain area, and the prevail circumstance is alike withthe woods area of the north-east area of China. 2. There is apparent infection and the inapparent infection after bite by the tick in this area. 3. Bite by the tick is the primary approach of the infection, and there is some other infectious approach.
