Yunnanbaiyao Capsule Perioperative Medication To Reduce The Chronic Sinusitis And Nasal Polyps Nasal Endoscopy Hand Blood Loss, Randomized, Double-blind, Controlled, Multi-center Clinical Studies

Objective: The study was designed to evaluate the anti-bleeding effect of Yunnan Baiyao capsule used preoperation in endoscopic sinus surgey. Method: 198 patients from 4 experimental centers were divided into two groups in1: l,one group taking Yunnan Baiyao capsule, the other taking starch capsule, they received endoscopic sinus surgery after taking capsules for 3 days, and we measured the amount of bleeding during operation. Result: (1)The amount of bleeding in group A was 274.004±24.750, in group B was 279.378±24.991. The difference was no significant(P=0.867). (2)The average amount of bleeding in center 1 was 346.195±26.940, in center 2 was 412.712±56.945 , in center 3 was 170.193±28.234, in center 4 was 177.662±32.166. The difference was significant(P=0.000). (3)The percentage of adverse drug reaction was 1.01% in both group. The difference was no significant(P=1.000).Conclusion: (1)We can not say that Yunnan Baiyao capsule used preoperation can reduce bleeding during endoscopic sinus surgery. (2)Yunnan Baiyao capsule is safe and convenient to take.
