Objective: To observe and assess the therapeutic effect of fistulectomy with excision-suture and ligating in two sides of internal opening in the treatment of anal fistula. Methods: The 112 cases of anal fistula were randomly divided into trials group and controlled group,56 cases in trials group received the fistulectomy with excision-suture and ligating in two sides of internal opening,56 cases in controlled group received the fistulectomy or incision and thread-drawing procedure. Observe the postoperative pain of last-time, the bleeding rate, the retention of urine, the edema of anal, the infection rate, the length of the healing time, the size of the scar, the anal disfunction and the relapse rate in six months. The relative results were calculated statistically with SPSS 13.0 software.Statistical significance was accepted as the P value less than 0.05. Results: The scores of postoperative complications were much lower in the trials group than the controlled group(P < 0.05). The postoperative pain of last-time and the bleeding rate were smaller in the trials group than the controlled group(P < 0.05). The therapeutic effect indexes such as the healing time, the sizes of scars and the assessment of anal function, the trials group is superior to the controlled group significantly(P < 0.05). There was no difference between the two groups in the rate of relapse at six months follow up, the retention of urine, the edema of anal, the infection rate and the curative rate(P>0.05).Conclusion: The fistulectomy with excision-suture and ligating in two sides of internal opening is a reasonable way to treat anal fistula with quick healing and small scar. It could not only prevent the postoperative complications but also protect the anal function.
