Objective: To study the clinical efficacy and side effect of "gelanxiang" granule in treating Common Cold(CC) of fen-re syndrome.Methods: This is a double blind, randomized, controlled, multicenter trial. 473 cases were include, There were 473 cases in intention-to-treat(ITT), and 473 cases in per-protocol population(PP).The study group (ITT: n=353. PP: n=353) received "Gelanxiang" granule and the control group (ITT: n=120. PP: n=120) were given "Kangganjiedu" granule.Results: The percentage of 24 hour-antithesis-curative effect in the study group was 84.70%; and 69.17% in control group. The percentage of synthesis curative effect in the study group was 88.95%; and 71.67% in control group. The percentage of Chinese tradition medical syndrome curative effect in the study group was 89.24%; and 75.83% in control group. The results show significance statistical difference between two groups(p < 0.0 1). " Gelanxiang " granule could markedly alleviate body temperature of patients.Conclusion: "Gelanxiang" granule is effective and safety in the treatment of Common Cold(CC).
