Protein Elimination Mixture Plus Hormone Therapy In Children With Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome

Objective : To explore the curative effect and mechanism of danbaixiao oral liquids and hormone in treating primary nephrotic syndrome (PNS)of children.Methods: 52 PNS patients were divided into treatment groop(TG) 25 cases (malel8 cases , female 7 cases ; average age 5.5±2.8 years ; average time in hospital 17.4±5.6 days ; single PNS 17 cases ,nephritisic PNS 8 cases ) and control group (CG) 27 cases (male 19 cases , female 8 cases ; average age 5.2±3.5 years ; average time in hospital 18.2±6.7 days ; single PNS 20 cases ,nephritisic PNS 7 cases ) at random . On the other hand ,the TG were divided into three deffirent types according to TCM classification ie :yang defficiency in both spleen and kedney type (type 1,10 cases ) , yin defficiency in both liver and kidney type (type 2 , 8 cases ) , both qi and yin defficiency type ( type 3 , 7 cases) .after common treatment including eliminated infections , two groups took prodnisone .at the same time , TG patients took danbaixiao oral liquids for 8 weeks . the serum ET , FIB , PLT, APTT, PT, ALT, Ccr , NO urine, D-dimer etc were measured before and after the threapy .The appearance of incorporative symptom and hormonal side-effect during the threapy and the rate of recurrence in the six months were observed .Result: 1. After being treated for 8 weeks , the total efficiencies of between TG and CG were resemble (P>0.05). 2. The level of FIB , PLT, ET in serum , D-dimer decreased obviously , and the TG did the better(P<0.05). 3.The lever of APTT , PT , NO in urine increased , the TG did the better . 4. The level of ALT and Ccr in TG made no obvious change before and after the threapy(P<0.05). 5. Contrast to CG , the appearrances of incorporative symptom and hormonal side-effect , the rate of recurrence in TG decreased more obviously (P<0.05). 6. The efficiencies of the three types were resemble(P>0.05).Conclusion : That danbaixiao oral lipuids and hormone treated PNS was effective .It could reduce the appearance of the infections and improve coagularion .It also could reduce the rate of recurrence and the appearance of incorporative symptoms and hormonal side-effect. The probably mechanism was that danbaixiao oral lipuids have the function of supplying with qi and yin , regulating immunity , diuresis and detumence, anti-coagulation and strengthening adrenal gland cortex function.
