Lung-heat syndrome of epidemic febrile disease is the frequently occurring disease in the clinical. It is similar to the Pneumonia of modern medicine science. In the theoretical research, this article propose that the stagnation of pathogenic heat in the lung, accumulation of phlegm and heat in the lung, accumulation of excessive heat in the lung and fu-organs, accumulation of excessive heat in the lung and the collaterals injury is the common syndrome type of Lung-heat syndrome of epidemic febrile disease. The basic pathogenesis is on account of excessive heat in the lung and the impairment of dispersion and descending function of the lung and qi is inhibited. The principles of treatment is removing heat from the lung and modifying the lung's function of dispersing and descending. Make out respective etiopathology of each syndrome and choose appropriate prescriptions and the modifications of it. In experimental research, the author reproduce the mouse model of viral pneumonia and rat for excessive heat, observe the function of clearing heat and nourishing Yin prescription. The result show that clearing heat and nourishing Yin prescription holds the effect of anti-virus, defervescence, alleviating the pneumonia inflammation and protecting lung's issues and cells, etc, which provide clearing heat and nourishing Yin prescription with scientific basis to treat Lung-heat syndrome of epidemic febrile disease.
