Glossoscopy is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The value of traditional method of Glossoscopy is often affected by the doctor's experience and the environment factors such as light, brightness etc. The main method of Glossoscopy is diagnosing the color, texture, etc. of the tongue proper and tongue fur. This course is accord with the demand of digital image processing. So we process the tongue picture by the technology of digital image processing.First, we smooth the tongue picture. We detect the tongue edge by wavelets and a method of which is based on color information differentiability. The main contents of glossocopy are diagnosing the tongue proper and tongue fur, so we separate them successfully through analysis. After it, we recognize and class the tongue picture by several color system feature.Then for the have no reports of tongue picture texture analysis, we analyze the texture by multifractal method., and discussed the texture feature of several texture tongue picture. We give a new feature to the glossoscopy analysis.Finally, we designed and develop a software to analyze and process tongue picture. It contains many analysis methods and tools.
