| Branchiectasis is a chronic suppurative disease that one or more branchiects expansiced and twisted by branchiects damaged. In Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),branchiectasis has been described as "Hemoptysis ".Hemoptysis is A disease and syndrome in TCM.lt refers to expectoration of fresh blood,blood clots or bloody phlegm in sensation of blood in the throat. It is mostly caused by excess of fire and deficiency of fire and deficiency of yin,or heat in the lungs impairing the collateral branches of the lungs to let the blood out of the blood vessels.lt refers to cough with blood usually Caused by the external invasion of Pathogenic wind,the transmission of heat and dryness,the impairment of pulmonary vessels, or the attack on the lung by liver fire.Modern medical technique call it as "Hemoptysis ".This subject mainly discussing the Traditional Chinese treatment(TCM) of Branchiectasis Hemoptysis.lt is advisable to follow the therapeutic principles of eliminating heat-evil fire from the blood just like hemorr-hagic disease(HD). It' s manifestations are characterized by itching of throat and cough phlegm with blood,dryness of mouth and nose.It is advisable to follow such therapeutic principles as expelling wind and removing heat from the lungs calming collaterals and stopping blood.If it is due to the attack on the lung by the liver fire,its manifestations as characterized by paroxysmal cough phlegm with blood or fresh blood.His advisable to follow such therapeutic principles as purging the liver and removing heat from the lung* regulating collaterals and stopping blood.Treatment routine includes selection of treatment based on the differential diagnosis,specific recipe drug,acupuncture,mas sage therapy,diet therapy and many other methods.All thease research shows that treatment of Branchiectasis Hemoptysis by Chinese medicine has advantage of few side effects,fast pain-killing and recurrently preventing.The study involved two groups,namely,the handling group and the control group of the sixty-four patients of our hospital in 1998~2001. According to the experiences of treating Branchiectasis Hemoptysis,we found that not only have a great cure rate but improving patients' symptoms obviously with following the therapeutic principles of eliminating heat-evil fire from the blood.This research observes 64 cases of treating Branchiectasis Hemoptysis patients,of which 44 cases are of the treated group,23 male,21 feamale,oldest is 79,youngest is 19,average age is 42.26;the control group has 20 cases are,.of the treated group, 13 male,? feamale,oldest is 79,youngest is 18,average age is 41.85.In clinical observation,the treated grop has 15 cases of complete recovery,19 significant effect,8 some effect,2 non:effect, average styptic days are 3.23, total effectiveness rate is 95.5%.While the control group has 4 cases of complete recovery,4 significant effect,? some effect,5 non effect,average styptic days are 5.42, total effectiveness rate is 85%. Statically analyzed,the two groups have obviously differences in their effectiveness rate(P<0.05).The two groups have significant differences in their effectiveness percentage rate (P<0.05).Regearding the symptoms of the patients,both control and treated group have obvious improvements,statistically however the symptoms improvement of treated group is higher than that of the control group.In those researches,we found as for treatment,western medicine still takes surgical procedure as the main treatment option.For patients not suitable for surgery,internal medicine is for substitute.But western medicine' s treatment is not very satisfactory.There are many side effects,making it hard to reach the goal of long-term treatment and prevent ion.With regard to the above reasons,my professors owning years of clinical experiences in treating Branchiectasis Hemoptysis,with a combination of Chinese and Western medicine research,treating patients with following the therapeutic principles of eliminating heat-evil fire from the blood.We obtained a great treatment effects.Then in this bind... |
