This dissertation focused on medical records about syndromes of Footueyin Liver meridian before Tang Dynasty. The author thought: 1. Syndromes of meridians were not only recorded in Lingshueridians, other chapters in The Canon of Internal Medicine also documented a lot, which should be highlighted. 2. Syndromes of meridians should be called indications of meridians to more extensive significance. 3.Developments of indications of Footueyin meridian could be divided the early stage of ancient books about meridians, the original stage of the Canon of Internal Medicine and the abundant stage after the Canon of Internal Medicine. The afterwards development of indications of Footueyin meridian featured the abundance of concrete syndromes 4. Syndrome of Footueyin meridian meaned Xiao Ke syndrome in Foot and Arm Eleven Meridian Lfoxibustion Canon, but featured the syndromes of genitals and lower belly after Yin and Yang Meridian Moxibustion Canon. These indications and natures of them were emphasized in afterward periods. The research on indications of meridians were actually processed for clinical directional significance of meridians, which would be helpful to understand meridian theory more deeply, the relationship between meridians and points, discuss rules to choose points in ancient time, then turn experiences of ancient acupuncture into clinical practice and serve the modern clinic more effectively.
