As one of the illnesses which are often suffered by the middle and old age, the concept of stroke of TCM mainly include cerebrovascular diseases, such as: cerebral infarction and cerebral haemorrhage. At present, diagnosis of the syndrome differ types is mainly relied on the information collected by watching, smelling, inquiring the patients, feeling the pulse with fingers. There are no objective reliance include physical and chemical index signs, and as a consequence there are no objective, scientific, normal standards. With the development of science and technology, the objectivization, quantification and standardization of the syndrome differ types are becoming one of the tasks which the TCM doctor should devote themselves in and becoming a question which should be resolved quickly. In the article, we try to study on the relation between syndrome differ classification of TCM and cerebrocranial CT images which include the character, location, rang, nembers of the focus and whether the brain ventricle is broken due to bleeding or pressed by the haematoma followed by cerebral haemorrhage. The result of the research could guide the clinical diagnosis and treatment. Results show that the syndrome differ types are significantly relevant to the character and rang of the lesions, the middle line of the brain and whether the brain ventricle being pressed; It also certain relevant to Zhongluo(rt3~), Zhongjing (4iZhongzang (4~ ~) , Zhongfu (憈i ~JtJ) and the focus location, numbers; not relevant to blood bleeding into the brain veticle in cerebral haemorrhage, happening with infarction and the location on left or right. It tells that defferent type of stroke has defferent pathological basis and CT images feature.
