Pregnancy is a normal physiological phenomenon, however, psychological changes are often caused by hormonal changes and physical appearance of pregnant women. Moreover, modern Chinese families tend to have only one child, many pregnant women have no experience, so pregnant women are prone to anxiety and depression. If we can know psychological status of pregnant women and its influencing factors, we can not only increase the positive emotions of pregnant women, but also ensure maternal and child health. However, pregnant women and fetal is in the family system, the expectant father will be more or less involved in his wifes pregnancy, and some features of fathers may also affect the babys development.In view of this, the study recruits 349 pairs of expectant parents in the late pregnancy to fill questionnaires. The purpose of the current study was: (1) exploring mental health and possible factors of pregnant women in late pregnancy. (2) exploring mental health and possible factors of expectant father in late pregnancy. (3) exploring the relationship between mental health of expectant parents and infant temperament.The results show that: (1) the proportion of expectant mothers who suffer a risk of mental disorders is 19%, and the proportion of expectant fathers who suffer a risk of mental disorders is 14.8%. (2) the mothers maternal stress levels and K10 scores were significantly higher than father's, but the state anxiety scores of fathers were significantly higher than the state anxiety scores of mothers. (3) the mothers pregnancy stress and the fathers pregnancy stress, mothers'and fathers'K10 score, mothers and fathers state anxiety and trait anxiety, were significantly related. (4) Different indicators of mental health have different factors. Mothers trait anxiety are the most important predicted factors of fathers mental health. Fathers trait anxiety are the most important predicted factors of fathers mental health. (5) Adaption and attention dimension of infant temperament has gender differences. (6)Regression analysis of nine dimensions of infant temperament show that Mothers trait anxiety is the most important predictor, but the predictability of the equations is not high, R2 values is between .03 -. 16. |
