Modified Wen Dan Tang Treatment Phlegm Resistance With Premature Ovarian Failure Clinical Studies

Objective:To summarize the clinical materials of premature ovarian failure (POF), to evaluate the curative effect of Gallbladder-warming decoction to patients type of premature ovarian failure and coma due to accumulation of phlegm-damp in the body, and to probe into the treatment of premature ovarian failure.Method:Analyze the clinical materials of 60 patients type of premature ovarian failure and coma due to accumulation of phlegm-damp in the body from June of 2006 to October of 2009, divide the patients into group of Gallbladder-warming decoction and Premarin see conjugated estrogen comparative group, observe the clinical syndrome before and after taking medicine, the menstrual blood volume, the change of blood serum and reproductive hormone, the situation of breast and vagina, the change of blood fat and etc.Results:The average age of menarche is 13.5, the average year of secondary amenorrhea woman's menses is 20 years, average year of amenorrhea is 2.5 years, among them 3 people menostasis suddenly,37 of them experienced infrequent menstruation till amenorrhea, 39 cases (65%) of the patients have different degree of edeatrophia and mastatrophia (most of the patients appeared edeatrophia in six months after amenorrhea), the test of blood serum sex hormone shows:the statistics of estradiol lower or equal to the level of folliclllar phase, the statistics of follicle-stimulating hormone and the prolan B raised and the statistics of prolactin stay in normal areas. Before the treatment, there are no distinct differences in the situation of menses. After the treatment, the situation of menses for both of the groups improved, the total effective rate of the treatment group is 73.33%, and the total effective rate of the comparative group is 46.67%. the treatment group got a better total effective rate than that of the comparative group (P<0.01), and it can certified that menses improvement of the treatment group is better than the comparative group. There are no distinct differences in syndrome integral before the treatment (P>0.05), and the total syndrome integral decreased evidently after the treatment, the clinical syndromes eased clearly, and have evident differences comparing to the situation before treatment (P<0.01). The patients have syndromes of coughing up phlegm, limbs tired and fullness of the chest and epigastrium showed evidently but the syndromes were eased after the treatment. There are no differences between the level of blood serum FSH, LH, and E₂ in the treatment and comparative groups. The E₂ hormone level of the treatment group increased evidently, and the FSH and LH level decreased. To compare with before the medication, the differences are evident (P<0.05). The E2 hormone level of the comparative group also increased, the FSH and LH level decreased, but there are no statistical differences comparing with that of before medication (P>0.05).Conclusion:Premature ovarian failure is a kind of disease caused by all kinds of factors, and it is difficult to be cured. The Gallbladder-warming decoction treatment can relieve the clinical syndromes and the level of blood serum FSH, LH decreased evidently.
