Nowadays, Modern service industry, especially Producer Services reflects the prosperity of a city and even a country. The integrative trend of global economy is stepping out. Shanghai, as an international metropolis, has attracted lots of enterprises in manufacturing and manufacture-related service industry domestic and overseas with the stratagem of "One Leader, Four Centers" carried out by government. More and more parks for Producer Services have emerged in China like bamboo shoots after rains. However, in shanghai and other cities, the development of manufacture-related service industry is just beginning. The layout and functional planning of most parks need further improving and adjusting.Shanghai Western Park for Manufacture-related Service Industry (SWP for short) is one of the first-developed parks for Manufacture-related Service Industry in Shanghai. Since 2005, SWP has got certain achievement in park constructing and attracting investment. But, how to make the developing strategy more logical and more doable? The answer has not been given yet. This dissertation is a case analysis on this question. In order to get a scientific conclusion, the dissertation analyze the park's surroundings and functional planning with PEST, SWOT and BOSTON Matrix methods, on the basis of which some constructive opinion and advise on park's developing strategy come into form in the end.This dissertation is composed of six parts. Part One summarizes the manufacture-related service industry. Part Two introduces much experience on developing manufacture-related service industry domestic and overseas. Part Three analyzes the SWP's aspects of politics, economy, society, science and technology with PEST. Part Four analyzes the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats of SWP with SWOT, providing some relevant strategies. Part Five analyzes SWP's functional planning and service items with Boston Matrix. Part Six provides some rational countermeasures and advice on the basis of above analysis. In addition, this dissertation includes preface and ending. The preface expatiates the research's background, cause and significance, the ending part reviews the whole dissertation and indicates the point of innovation.
