Land resources are the material basis of human existence and development. With the increase of population and economic development, the destruction on ecological environment is more and more serious. As one important aspect of ecological security, ecological security of land resources is frontier of research into sustainable use of land resources, which is very significant. However, the research into ecological security of land resources is still at an early stage and correlative research is not any more. The theory of ecological security evaluation of land is still in the exploratory stage. In this paper, building ecological security assessment index system of land resources, using analytic hierarchy process method (AHP) to determine the evaluation index factor weights, determining the evaluation index factor safety threshold, it evaluates comprehensively the ecological security level of land resources of Huangshan City between 2000 and 2008 and analyses the time variation. In addition, the paper analyses the ecological security situation of land resources and predicts, the level of ecological security status of land resources of the next decade of Huangshan City. The last part of the paper puts forward the countermeasures to maintain ecological safety of land resources. The full-text is divided into seven chapters:Chapter 1 describes the research background and significance of this paper and analysis the evaluation progress of the study on the land resources and ecological safety home and abroad. It grasps fully the latest developments of the study, and describes the theoretical basis of this study. It takes advantage of the latest developments of the study, which has laid a good foundation for this paper. And then, it proposes the research programs, including the technical line of this research.Chapter 2 analyzes the related concept of ecological security, land resources ecological security. On this basis, it recognizes ecological security of land resources and expounds the theory basis of the study.Chapter 3 constructs the evaluation index system of ecological security of land resources. It describes the selection process of ecological security index system of land resources, evaluation criteria of land ecological security and evaluation method about ecological security of land resources and other aspects. On the basis, It puts forward ecological security index system framework and research methods by selecting twenty index factors and describing them. At last it determines the calculation model about ecological security of land resources.Chapter 4 introduces physical geography, economic and social situation of Huangshan city and describes the situation of land resources and ecological environment; It analyzes land use situation of 2008, the number and structure changes of the land use between 2000 and 2008, and the impacts on the ecological environment because of the land use change to describe land resources of Huangshan City.Chapter 5 evaluates ecological security of land resources Huangshan City comprehensively by using the index model. It analyzes the trend of ecological safety value and causes between 2000 and 2008 and divides comprehensive evaluation standard of land resource ecological safety of Huangshan City. And then it analyzes ecological security situation of land resources over the years and predicts the level of ecological security of land resources in the next decade.Chapter 6 proposes the countermeasures to maintain ecological safety of the land resources from natural ecological security, economic ecological security and social ecological safety.Chapter 7 Points out the main conclusions of this study and the further work which needs to improve the paper.
