Optical transport network is growing more and more intelligent and ASON is an important technology for this reason. ASON introduces control plane into traditional optical transport network and make it more intelligent.ASON is composed of control plane, transport plane and administration plane. The intelligence of ASON is benefit from control plane. ASON supports dynamic discovery of resource, end to end service configuration and powerful protection and restoration. The technology of control plane is composed of multiple factor. One of the important is interconnection of multiple domains. To do this , we need to connect multiple domains which are constructed based on different technology, produced by different manufacturers or maintained by different carrier together, make them work like a integrated network and provide function as ASON.Chapter 1 of this thesis describes the goals and meaning of the whole thesis. Chapter 2 introduce status quo of technology, analysis several scheme and presents the goals of designing. Chapter 3 analyzes the key factors of the designing. Chapter 4 presents a integrated solution. Chapter 5 does test for the solution. Chapter 6 is summarized. This thesis makes the following innovations:1. Compares relative schemes for ASON multi-domain interconnection, analyzes disadvantages of the OIF HRP, presents the principle of intra-domain topology abstraction.2. Improvement for fully meshed connection topology to reduce the number ofabstract TE link;3. A whole new topology——star connection topology;4. The method to calculate available bandwidth and link cost for abstract TE links under fully meshed connection topology.5. The framework of intra-domain topology auto-abstraction procedure.
