Traditional resource allocation algorithm in OFDM system aims to maximize the throughput, but it may not allocate resource to the users with poor channel quality. It will lead to low throughput and big latency which can't meet the systems'requirement. Therefore, it is meaningful to design a resource allocation algorithm with consideration of fairness and efficiency. This paper introduces a new proportional fairness algorithm. It is based on iterative idea. The subcarrier is allocated based on the last allocation. The algorithm can achieve sub-optimum performance with low complexity and can have a good tradeoff between efficiency and fairness. In order to meet the fairness requirement of different systems, this paper introduces a new allocation algorithm based on alpha proportional fairness. The simulation results show that the algorithm can make different tradeoff between efficiency and fairness by adjusting alpha parameter. This paper also does research on resource allocation in multi-cell systems. Compared with the allocation in single cell, the multi-cell algorithm should consider the effect of inter-cell interference. In order to solve the problem, this paper introduces a new RNC's schedule algorithm and related channel quality information feedback mechanism. Compared with traditional centralized scheduling, this new algorithm just needs part channel information and allocates subcarriers according to the utility function. It can reduce inter-cell interference and improve system throughput. |
