With the growing development of network control technology, network based control application has become wider and wider, which has become the focus in automatic control field currently. Network based control system can take advantage of the supplies and intelligence resource in the local end and implement operation and control to the equipment in the remote site effectively. Therefore the research on computer network control technology has a significant application value.This paper is mainly focused on network based remote control technology and image acquisition and transmission technology. Digitizer is employed to draw the shapes of machined workpiece at the remote monitor center, and the processing data is collected and transmitted through the internet to realize accurate manufacture and control to the spinning machine. Meantime, the on-site processing image feedback is real-time transmitted, which greatly assists professional experts or technicians with the manufacture of complicated workpieces.The remote monitoring technology of spinning machine is studied and network based spinning machine remote monitoring has been designed in this paper. Program is developed in the Visual C++6.0 environment, multithreading and Winsock technology is used for the network communication program. Image capture technology, image compression technology have also been studied, graph collection card and video camera have been adopted to collect the on-site images. The advanced H.264 algorithm has been employed to compress and transmit the images, which reduces the data flow of network transmission. DirectShow technology is used to store and play the images and videos. Self-defined protocol is used to realize the transmission of all kinds of data, the data collection of digitizer, the working parameters of the spinning wheel and button status are opened by thread respectively to ensure real time data transmission. By testing the network time delay in two different areas, intelligent command buffer is adopted to make up for time delay. The result has shown that the monitoring program has a small time delay, and has achieved prospective requirements. The results of this paper are important references to further research in the future.
