Design And Implementation Of A Project Progress Management System

During the traditional process of project, all the actions of the creation of project, task arrangement, distribution of task man-hour and man-hour fillings are primarily depended on man-hour log files. Further more, these log files of different project teams are independently. As lack of management as a whole, the project man-hour annals are disordered. So the data noted in the log files mostly can not describe the actual evolvements of projects, yet can not offer evidence for the project analysis and summarize in after days. In order to improve the disordered status of traditional man-hour filling, we designed this software to manage all the man-hour fillings of all the project teams, and also provide help for project managers in the aspects of project managements.Project Progress Management System is developed by using C/S structure,.net platform and SQL Server. We followed UML modeling technology do a needs analysis, and then divide the system into six modules, which are user login module,write schedule module,project management module,attendance management module,information management module,system management module. Also we do the detail design included the session design,database design,interface design and exception design for the major module. Using web service system realize the communication between client and server. The module dividing about the server makes database's upgrade and maintenance easily.With the Project Progress Management System, from project creation, designing of projects'functions, processes, tasks and the undertaker, man-hour plan for tasks, to projects'progress controlling, and the man-hour fillings of employees, all of these actions are managed in a unitized way, and presented to the users clearly. This makes the project managers be able to realize the detailed information of projects, so that they can make modifications in time when there are changes in projects. And the employees also can realize their own tasks and the progresses of projects in time, in order to distribute their time appropriately.
