Due to the radiation of space particles and other factors in radiation environment, in addition to trigger a transient processor failure occurs, it will also cause frequent and more deadly intermittent fault. Traditional single-core processors can not be used to achieve software fault-tolerant, and the emergence of multi-core processors make it possible. We Choose commercial multi-core processors in the field of aerospace, to implement fault-tolerant based on multi-core processors, and it can improve system's performance, reduce its power consumption. In this paper, we carried out a detailed study on the virtualization of VxWorks OS on the commercial SPARC T2 multi-core processor virtual platform.VxWorks operating system is widely used in aviation. It is a good real-time operating system. The switch of context and system calls of VxWorks can be completed in the microsecond level. VxWorks operating system is mostly applied to aerospace applications.There are a large number of aerospace applications upon operating systems already.Therefore, how to ensure the portability of existing applications software, will also be an important problem of the aerospace application of commercial multi-core processor.But,as an embedded operating system,VxWorks hasn't support the virtualization environment of SPARC T2. The main work we do is making careful researches on SPARC T2 hardware environment and VxWorks software mechanism,and making VxWorks running haleness on the virtualize platform of SPARC T2.So, this article will firstly give a detailed exposition of the SPARC T2 architecture and virtualization mechanism,then make a detailed analysis of the various mechanisms and start procedure of VxWorks OS. Based on this,we design and implement the virtualization of VxWorks on the SPARC T2 virtualize platform.
