Electronic manufacturing equipment is a basic industry which provides the development of national economic and national defense construction for technology and equipments. The cable wiring is an important part in the layout of electronic manufacturing equipment. The traditional wiring is accomplished by simulative installation based on physical prototype, with flexible string instead of cables and adhesive plaster instead of supports. The serial method of design is inefficient and expensive. Although computer aided simulation technology improves the efficiency of the designers, the function is single, hard to set up, and difficult to be overall planned. To solve this problem, this paper combines the methods of human-computer interaction and artificial intelligence, intensive studies three-dimensional virtual cable wiring technology.First of all, the paper introduces the electrical characteristics of electronic manufacturing equipment, systematic analyses physical constraints, including electrical performance constraints, mechanical performance constrains, and then proposes the corresponding principles. In the above, we come to the method of cable path.As entity and electrical interferences exist in the object models, the paper adopts hierarchical bounding box and electrical analysis to check interference, and meshing and valuing the wiring space are ready for the search.Followed by introducing the principle of the search algorithm, this paper uses improved A-star algorithm which is added evaluation function and rigidity factor to fit the results. After the layout of a single cable completed, we explore the wiring of multiple cables. Finally, with UG software platform, through the second development this paper designs wiring module to achieve the function of the cables system.
