Virtual human football is the basic research subject in the field of artificial intelligence and virtual human,of which football pass is an important part. For simulation of three-dimensional football pass and taking pass, its actions, strategy and the football trajectories are studied. The main works are done by the following:Firstly in the study on action of football player's pass and taking pass,a new model is presented. The model uses the technology of skeleton animation and divides the football player into two layers:the skin layer and skeleton layer. Texture mapping is applied to the skin layer which is driven by the skeleton layer. Key-frame interpolation is applied to the skeleton layer. Realistic actions of football player's pass and taking pass are achieved through a model of 3D virtual human football players.Secondly for a better pass strategy, the modern football pass is researched, and pass strategy is divided into global,local and individual layer, each of which contains virtual human football player's pass strategy.The pass strategy in local layer is gained through game theory and delivered to football player. Football player makes decision on basis of strategy of local and individual layer.Thirdly in the study on action of football player's pass and taking pass, football movement in the three-dimensional space has been simplified to make it easier to study.Finally the simulation of the football pass and taking pass is implemented by Programming. The results verify the feasibility of this method.
