Contrast And Analysis Of Cognition Of Middle-medical School Students And Senior High School Students On Aids Prenvention Knowledge

Objectives: Analysing knowledge, attitudes and behavior of AIDS prenvention in the Middle-Medical School in the eastern part of Henan Province, to detect the flaw of AIDS prenvention education, to explore and to develop educational plan and appropriate mode of education and to provide an important theoretical basis.Methods: To use questionnaire designed by Henan Global Fund AIDS Project Office AIDS which was about knowledge, attitude and behavior of AIDS prenvention, Investigate all school students of the Middle-Medical School, and randomly selected a city school as controls. The use of anonymous self-administered questionnaire method to collect information, and then use statistical analysis software SPSS12.0 to analyse.Results:1. Analysis on AIDS prenvention knowledge,attitude and behavior among students The results shows that the route of transmission of HIV, AIDS prevention and treatment knowledge and other AIDS-related knowledge of the three aspects of knowledge, the average score of students were 9.95±2.76,4.76±2.00,29.90±3.66; AIDS virus in the three known cases of transmission, the Middle-Medical School students average scores were 3.05±1.01,1.87±0.92,0.85±0.35. Contrast the two schools, except mother-to-child transmission, other average scores were below the high school students. Middle-Medical School students' attitudes towards AIDS patients can not be optimistic, there are more than 60% of students having the wrong attitudes of discrimination, prejudice, alienation towards AIDS patients. Senior high school students treat HIV infection or AIDS patients appropriately. Shown as the source of AIDS knowledge survey, students access the main means of knowledge of AIDS from radio, television, books and newspapers, publicity, exhibitions, the Internet. However, from the teachers' teaching only at the third (48.9%)place, from family and other means and even less (11.1%). More than 84% of students are willing to study on AIDS knowledge, more than 76% of students hope to obtain knowledge of AIDS prevention from teachers. However, fron School Health Education AIDS situation, we can see more than 40% of students did not set up classes on AIDS School Health Education, there are not School Health Education Teacher in more than 50% of the schools.2.The effect factors about AIDS prenvention knowledge,attitude and behavior The results indicated that: sex, grade, family income, parent education and home address were the main factors of the AIDS knowledge score, the level of AIDS awareness the high school students are higher than the Middle-Medical School students, score comparison of malestudents and femalestudents, in AIDS awareness, AIDS-related knowledge of the other, malestudents of the two schools got higher score than femalestudents. Family income also have a positive impact of knowledge growth, high-income families have more opportunity to receive education.The higher education level of parents, the higher level of knowledge children got.3. The multivariate analysis indicated that the main influential factors of the AIDS knowledge were home address,grade, sex.The level of AIDS knowledge shows that the cities and towns students was higher than rural students,higher-grades were higher lower-grades,boys more than girls.Conclusions:1. Compared with gender, grade, home address, income and parent education about knowledge of AIDS prevention of students, there were significant differences.2.. The multivariate analysis indicated that the main influential factors of the AIDSknowledge were home address,grade and sex.3. Compared with High School students and Middle-Medical School students about knowledge of AIDS prevention, the average score of High School was 15.30±3.54, Middle-Medical School was 13.97±4.27,there were significant differences.High School students have more knowledge than Middle-Medical School students on AIDS prevention, more than 60% of Middle-Medical School students towards AIDS patients can not be optimistic, which is harmful to the Middle-Medical School students in the future's work;4. To strengthen the health education about AIDS prenvention knowledge,attitude and behavior among students.School, society and family should cooperation, extensively use multi-channel carry out AIDS health education, can help to curb the spread of AIDS, to protect young people grow up healthily.
