| Objective:To study the association of the polymorphism for the HLA-DRB1,DQB1 gene and the susceptibility to tuberculosis of Xinjiang Uighurs. Methods:Using case-control study, HLA-DRB1,DQB1 genotyping was conducted in 226 PTB cases and 231 controls among Uyghur Nationality in Xinjiang area with polymerase chain reaction-sequence specific primers (PCR-SSP), gene frequencies (GFs) were calculated and compared. Using Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test to analysis the association between alleles and tuberculosis.Results:1. The frequency of HLA-DRB1*11 gene in pulmonary tuberculosis cases was strikingly higher than that in the healthy controls (Pc=0.026<0.05), their GFs were:4.53% and 1.09% respectively; The frequency of HLA-DRB1*04 gene in pulmonary tuberculosis cases was strikingly higher than that in the healthy controls, their GFs were 12.77% and 8.36%, but the different was not statistically significant (Pc=0.351>0.05).2. The frequency of HLA-DQB 1*0201 gene in pulmonary tuberculosis cases was strikingly higher than that in the healthy controls (Pc=0.000<0.05), their GFs were 40.13% and 19.15% respectively; The HLA-DQB 1*0301/4 gene occurred less frequently in patients with TB than in controls, their GFs were 6.16% and 10.27%, but the different was not statistically significant (Pc=0.378>0.05).Conclusions:1. HLA-DRB1*11 allele were evidently correlated to the incidence of tuberculosis disease, DRB1*11 allele maybe susceptible genes of tuberculosis disease in population of Xinjiang Uighur Nationality.2. HLA-DQB1*0201 allele were evidently correlated to the incidence of tuberculosis disease, DQB1*0201 allele maybe susceptible genes of tuberculosis disease in population of Xinjiang Uighur Nationality. |
