Also, we compared MTA ingredients and cytotoxicity with imported MTA, which could provide evidence for product improvement, experiments on animals and clinical research in the future. Methods: The performance of the domestic MTA was studied by scanning electron microscope(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray fluorescence(XRF);Cell relative growth rate(RGR)measured by MTT methods was used as quantitative assessment for cytotoxicity of the biomaterial, and compared with imported MTA;SEM was used to characterize surface microtopograph of osteoblast cells attach and proliferate on the material.Results:1. SEM showed that the domestic MTA had many gaps, uneven shape , and large granules dispersed among small granules.XRD demonstrated that 3CaO·SiO2 , Bi2O3 and 2CaO·SiO2 were main components.XRF revealed that main contents of domestic MTA were bismuth oxide 18.16952%,tricalcium silicate 60.85732%,dicalcium silicate 19.70331% , tricalcium aluminate 0.75656% and 4CaO·Al2O3·Fe2O3 1.7641%.2. The result of MTT indicated that there was obviously significant difference between the domestic group and imported MTA group (p<0.05),and their cytotoxicity were grade 1 that meant the material had no cytotoxicity .3. Osteoblast cells spread well on the material, could adhere to the material and proliferate successfully.Conclusion:1. The domestic MTA was prepared successfully using ball-milling mixing and sintering method, and it showed a good hydraulic and homogeneity of coagulation.2. The surface microtopograph of the domestic MTA was observed through scanning electron microscope.X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence revealed its main components and contents ,which are similar to the imported materials. 3. The results of the domestic MTA and cells co-culture showed that the domestic MTA has good biocompatibility. | Keywords/Search Tags: | MTA, SEM, XRD, XRF, Biocompatility | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
