Clinical Study On The Effect Of Combining Electro-acupuncture And Psychological Rehabilitation Therapy On Event-related Potentials (erp) Of Internet Addiction Disorder

OBJECTIVE:This article aimed to study effect of combination electro-acupuncture and psychological rehabilitation therapy on psychosomatic condition and event-related potentials in patients with Internet addiction disorder, through related rehabilitation evaluation and event-related potentials examination, which can offer a scientific, reliable and easy method of IAD, also scientific and objective evidence for treatment.METHOD:Totally 120 patients with IAD, who were in accordance with the inclusion criteria, were divided into 3 groups randomly with 40 patients in each group(8 cases were lost), they are integration group (n=37), electro-acupuncture group (n=39) and psychology group (n=36) which were treated by combination electro-acupuncture and psychological rehabilitation therapy, electro-acupuncture therapy and psychotherapy separately. After 40 days (20 days as a course of treatment) of continuouse therapy, the symptome, syndrome, psychological situation and brain function of each group were compared between pre and post treatment adopting rehabilitation Scale and ERP.RESULT:1. The results of Rehabilitation Scale showed that:as for the integration group, its improvement of symptome, syndrome, addiction, thirsty was superior to the other groups. And the electro-acupuncture group was better than the psychology group on improvement of symptome, syndrome and thirsty. both of them had significantly statistic meaning (P<0.05)2. In the tests of ERP, we found that:1) the indexes of P300 had certain differences between pre and post treatment in each group. Among them, some certain indexes have been significantly changed in electro-acupuncture group (P<0.05) 2) As for the indexes of P50, there were significant differences between pre and post treatment among these groups (P<0.05)3. As for the improvement of symptom and syndrome of TCM, the integration group and electro-acupuncture group were better than psychology group (P<0.05), but there was no difference significantly between them (P>0.05)CONCLUSION:1. Combining electro-acupuncture and psychological rehabilitation therapy has an exact effect on Internet addiction disorder which has prospects of further research and promotion.2. The study showed that combine electro-acupuncture and psychological rehabilitation therapy had effect on improvement of symptome, syndrome and psychological problems of Internet addiction disorder, which was so fast and positive. Meaningwhile the ability of memory and some indexes in ERP related brain recognition had been some certain changed The result was not significant which may be effected by sample size, the scope of subjects, treatment time and the interference of external factors on the ERP detection time. The integration group had its own advantage in brain feeling-gating.
