The Research Into The Protective Effect Of Tangluotong On Rats With The Early Diabetic Nephropathy

Objective:To explore the curative effect and function mechanism of a TCM prescription—Tang Luo Tong in the treatment of Diabetic Nephropathy by way of the kidney's reinforcement and activate the blood circulation to remove the blood stasis and obstruction from the meridian and collateral.Methods:Divide 33 male healthy rats into three groups, the normal comparison group (N)11 rats, the Diabetes group (D) 11 rats and the treatment group (DT) 11 rats, given streptozotocin by abdominal injection to the D group as modeling material. The D and DT groups are given PZI once every other day by subcutaneous injection. At the same time, DT group were treated with Tang Luo Tong.After continuously medicate for eight week, observe and examine the body weight, FBG, GHb,24h quantitative of urinary albumin, liver and renal function and renal cortex expression level of Rage mRNA. Besides, observe the renal pathological changes of rats through the OEM and electron microscope.Results:The experimental study indicated:TangLuoTong has a better curative effect on eliminating proteinuria of diabetic rats, with comparative difference between groups (P<0.01).TangLuoTong has had protect function to the renal of DM rat through the observation of OEM and electron microscope. But there is no comparative difference between groups in the decrease of blood sugar and GHb (P>0.05).TangLuoTong has a better curative effect on reducing adrenal RAGE mRNA of diabetic rats, with some comparative difference between groups.Conclusion:This research confirms that TangLuoTong, by way of the kidney's reinforcement and activating blood circulation, has curative effect on pathological changes of blood capillary in the early diabetes. This research attempts to explore the function mechanism of TangLuoTong on the level of molecular in order to provide theoretical support for the clinical research into the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine on pathological changes of blood capillary in the early diabetes.
