As an important reserve resource, Coastal resources has great potential to expand living space, There is about one quarter of the total area of tidal flat in Jiangsu Province. If we make the best of these rich resources for local economic development, We must understand the features and patterns of spatial and temporal evolution of coastal resources in Jiangsu Province, with the remote sensing and geographic information systems technology development maturing, they provided the main data sources and technical means for the changes of coastal resource in Jiangsu Province.This paper takes RS and GIS as the main technical support, supplemented by ground knowledge, comprehensive uses of the study area multitemporal remote sensing data and topographic data such as multi-source data, accurately extracts the four period of coastline and coastal resource such as 1979, 1989, 1999 and 2009, and establishes the dynamic changes of information Tupu of coastal resource from 1979 to 2009 in Jiangsu Province. And express the change process and the laws of the coastline from space and time in the past 30 years in Jiangsu Province, Research results show that: in the past 30 years, the length of the coastline in the growth performanced of first and then decreases, the advance and retreat of the coastline mainly advanced to Yellow Sea, and very small eroded to land. And the distance of advancement was the longest from Sheyang River to Laobei port; the area of the coastal resource was generally in a deposition, the coastal resource was eroded in Guanyun, Xiangshui and Binghai counties, strongly rised in Dafeng, Sheyang, Dongtai and Rudong County, other counties of the coastal state were in weak deposition; Between 1979 and 2009 years, the disappearance and the new area of tidal flat increased more and more from the latter period compared to the previous period, but the total area of tidal flat has been decreasing, because the reclamation rate of tidal flat was faster than the growth rate of tidal flat resources, resulting in a decreasing trend in the total tidal resources, on other word, the total area of coastal resource in siltation and erosion was decreasing. Last, researches the dynamic mechanism of evolution between space and time in natural and human activities points of view, It primarily take human activities as the main driving factors in this short period of time nearly 30 years.
