High-quality Giant Embryo Rice Nutrients Analysis And Germination Test

The embryo weight of giant embryo rice(ge-rice) is increased by 2-3 times than that of common rice(ck).Compared with its original rice,ge-rice has an increase in the contents of its brown rice proteins,fats,amino acids,mineral elements and vitamin.Giant embryo mutants were directly obtained by irradiation on common indica rice variety.The mutation frequency,nutrition characters and anatomical characters of ge mutants were studied.The main results were as following:1.Compared with its original rice,ge-rice has an increase in the contents of its brown proteins,tats,crude fibre and ashs.respectively,by 11.14%,106.09%,42.21% and 10.17%.Most of the contents of 17 kinds of amino acids are higher than that of ck,and the essential free amino acid contents increase by 2.52%to 35.62%,the total amino acid increase by 4.77%to 37.09%.The average contents of mineral elements Ca,Fe,Zn,Mn,Mg,P,K,Na and Cd is showed an increase of 42.89%,47.96%, 38.08%,37.75%,1.75%,5.51%,13.88%,16.13%and 36.69%.The fatty acid composition of the ge-rice and ck are almost the same,and all kinds of fatty acids in ge-rice are higher.The measured contents of vitamin V_B1,V_B2,V_pp,V_E and Folic acid rose by 2.50%to 24.81%.The contents of GABA(Y-aminobutyric acid) in ge-rice is showed an increase of 286.58%.2.The germination rate of ge-rice is lower than that corresponding rice.as well as the germination duration is longer,and the gennination is not uniform.GA on giant embryo rice seed germination rate of increase to a certain extent,but different species to the optimal concentration of gibberellin there are differences.
