| The ecological adaptation to changchun of the 15 kinds of cold-season turfgrasses were discussed at both levels of field experiments and lab experiment. In association with the field experimentation,the thesis focuses on the study of turfgrass cold tolerance. By Watching the growth of the grass in the field, I discussed the fifteen cold-season turfgrass ecological adaptation to Changchun, elementary giving the evaluation of adaptation from sight,capability and suitable application. The conclusion is that The Perennial Ryegrass get the highest grade from the sight. Award and Conni get the second higher grade. Festuca arundinacea Schreb is the last. From the point view of capability, Award grass get the highest grade. Festuca arundinacea Schreb gets the lowest grade. Award,Conni,Delaware and Gator get very high grade in the four categories grass(ornamental turfgrass,esplanade turfgrass,field grass,cover turfgrass). From the point view of Suitable application, Award and Conni have a good application foreground. Because of the weak cold tolerance ,the Perennial Ryegrass is not suitable to changchun for growing.The Festuca arundinacea Schreb have a good heat tolerance.So They can be blended with the Poa pratensis L in the turfgrass planting.In the same time the thesis gives some blended planting project. By watching the cluster of the turfgrass,I try to find the connection between the cold tolerance and cluster type.I find the cluster type that can decide the turfgras cold tolerance in part. In the second set of labrory experiments,the change of grass leaf conductance and proline were studied.The elementary conclusion is: Poa pratensis L is better than Festuca arundinacea Schreb in the cold tolerance. The Perennial Ryegrass is weak for resisting the cold damage. Arygle is the best in resisting the cold damage. Conni is the second in the cold tolerance. Festuca arundinacea Schreb variety is the almost the same in the cold tolerance. Gator is the weakest in the resisting the cold damage. |
