From the power flow calculation of the oil field distribution network system, this article, in accordance with the data that power flow calculation needs and the visualization and interactivity that the power flow calculation software requires, introduces the software platform of chart-module integration together with high-level programming language Visual Basic 6.0 and Access Database technique. Visual basic 6.0 is a visual and object-oriented programming language. It has a good environment for interface design and includes many controls which are used for interface design. Besides, it is convenient for user to create desirable ActiveX. VB6.0 can be combined with Access database by database controls. Access database is a kind of relational DBMS declared by Microsoft Corporation. It combines the Microsoft Jet Database Engine and the graphical user interface. And it's very interactive and universe. Using it can create one or more table easily. Combined with the ADO control which the Visual Basic 6.0 owes and the Data Grid control, the Access database can achieve the flexibility required by data storage in power flow calculation.The power flow calculation software is developed by VB 6.0 and the Access database. On the one hand, this platform can be used to draw varieties of power grid graphics, completing the original data input,graphics rendering,design and calculation by Access database. On the other hand, it can be used to create topological structure of distribution network and realize the analysis and calculation of the distribution network by Access database table and power flow calculation method directly.In order to achieve the line losses of distribution system in field study, this paper studies the variety of computing algorithms of line losses of distribution network according to the different voltage levels, such as RMS current law, the average current law, the equivalent resistance method and the power flow calculate method, etc.. We divide the voltage level into 35kV middle-voltage and 6-10kV low-voltage distribution network. Each specific calculation process and formula of the algorithm is described. On this basis, we use Visual Basic language to achieve several important algorithms. The article focuses on the steps of the algorithm, and how to form a network topology and node number, as well as the connection with the database, etc. Then we verify it through concrete examples. Each example is verified by several algorithms, and then we summarize the shortage of each algorithm. After the accuracy of the verification algorithm, we calculate the line losses of Zhongyuan Oil Field Weiyibian distribution system. The results validate the correct of the method of loss calculation.
