| With the increased consciousness of landscape and environmental protection, the traditional slope protection methods gradually fail to meet the people's requirement. The ecological slope protection technology is developed as the time requires. It uses such techniques as plant slope protection, geotechnical material compound plant base slope protection, vegetation-type ecological concrete slope protection, thick base material injection, spurting mixed planting, better-quality soil spraying sowing and net grass growing to achieve the purpose of slope protection. These newly developed techniques will make up the shortcomings of traditional slope protection methods, and gradually revive the natural ecology to beautify the environment. It will definitely become a widely accepted trend. Nowadays the research on the quantities of root reinforcing soil remains blank, and this paper hopes to systematically exam the plant slope protection mechanism and techniques for road side slopes on the basis of domestic and overseas studies and practical engineering. The achievements are as follows:1,Systematically expatiate the ecological effects and mechanism of plant slope protection through the summing-up of existing data.2,Understand the relationship between the root contain system and the shearing strength index of soil--the increased value of cohesive strength by establishing the mechanical analyzing model, and quantitatively analyze the scouring resistance of herbaceous plant root system.3,Expatiate the design principles of plant slope protection, and through the comparison of various methods, develop the techniques and crafts for road side slope planting, which are applied to actual projects.The actual application proves that the achievements of this research can be a reference to the theory and application of ecological plant slope protection technology. At the end of the paper, the writer summarizes the development of plant slope treatment and looks forward to the future of it. |
