Dynamic route guidance system is based on electronics, computer, networking and communications, and other modern technology, using GPS, electronic traffic maps, computers and advanced communications technology, making onboard computers can automatically display vehicle location, transport network and road traffic conditions, According to travel to the starting point to provide users with optimal path to guide instruction and rich real-time traffic information, or through access to real-time traffic information to help drivers find a starting point from the optimal path to the destination of the integrated system. In a dynamic route guidance system, GIS technologies are mainly used in the production and operation of digital electronic navigation maps.The main subject in this article is to realize a digital map in GIS part of Dynamic Route Guidance System. Using C# and ArcEngine, Developed a simulation system DRGS. In this system realized a digital map display, the feature editors, the production of thematic maps, shortest route choice functions, Queries of Vehicle Information, Vehicle Tracking and so on.This paper also adopted researching the current key technology of DRGS and The Components of the various subsystems's Functions, Designed a DRGS's framework; analysis the road network model and Main shortest path algorithm, proposed a Solving shortest route choice strategy Based on improvements Dijkstra algorithm, the restricted area algorithm and the digital map technology.In the end,Programming verified. Dijkstra algorithm. These are the today's the main technical means of dynamic route guidance system.
