This paper designs a portable measurement system about chamber pressure and velocity of shell that is continuous fired in order to measure these two ballistic parameters. The contents include: the principle of laser screen target, A/D conversion, sampling theorem, Monolithic integrated circuit hardware and software and PC software designing.This paper shows the C8051F020 MCU peripheral devices, the chamber pressure and velocity data acquisition system hardware, software design and implementation principle in detail. According to the thought of photo-electricity conversion and counter technology of single chip processor to measure a row of shells by designing a signal conditioning circuit; according to the piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric sensors and analog-digital conversion principle to use C8051F020-chip A/D converter to achieve the chamber pressure measurement by using pre-way to trigger. Designing simple communication protocols and procedures between PC and the lower position machine in order to send and receive data in view of the Monolithic integrated circuit and PC communication's characteristics. The system realizes the velocity and Chamber pressure datas which are the lower position machine sending to show and memory in the position machine and can show the Chamber pressure - time curve which are used by VB.In the practical application, this portable velocity and Chamber pressure measurement system can satisfy the actual need and has completed the artillery firing experiment. All its characters fulfill the requirement.
