Simple Guided Bombs Guidance Law

Guided bomb is ameliorated from ordinary aerial bomb by adding guidance and control system equipments. It has both the merits of ordinary aerial bomb and guided weapon, such as simple structure, low cost and long shooting range, high precision. The guided bomb will be effective weapon in the future battlefield. The research of guidance law is an important part in the research of guided bomb, appropriate guidance law will enhance the strike effectiveness of guided bomb, so it's greatly important to study guidance law extensively.In this thesis, from practical engineering point views, the law of guidance is studied. In order to facilitate research, particle ballistics model is built, and the capture-escape model is build also. Base on linear quadratic Gaussian, an optimal guidance law is derived, then it's characteristics are analyzed comparing with proportional navigation law.Considering the crucial significance of terminal angular constraint for guided bomb, the optimal guidance laws with terminal angular constraint are studied. Firstly based on the mathematics model of terminal angular constraint, two kinds of optimal guidance laws are designed, with angular feedback and angular velocity feedback, respectively. Then via three examples, it is illustrated that the optimal guidance law with angular feedback has more engineering practicability. Finally considering actual angular and shooting range requirements of bomb, the guidance law for whole control flight trajectory is designed by utilizing the optimal guidance law with angular feedback.In the end, a numerical simulation of whole trajectory is proposed to demonstrate the practicability of the guidance laws designed in the paper.
