Air force plays an important role in modern military battles. To improve the usability of the aircrafts and strengthen the ability of constant fighting, the aircraft battle damage should be repaired as quickly as possible. It is the fast manner to repair the aircraft battle damage of using spare parts to replace the destroyed components of the aircraft in combat.This paper puts forward the way to ascertain the requirement model of aircraft battle damage spare part. Based on the theory of aircraft combat survivability and probability, this paper analyses the model of aircraft battle damage spare part requirement, and gives examples with computer simulation.The main content and conclusions of this paper include the following aspects:1) Determining the types of spare parts. The first question in aircraft battle damage spare part requirement is to determine what kind of component should be stored. This is accomplished by identifying the critical components and their kill modes. The types of spare parts are redundant critical components and noncritical components.2) Computing the damage probabilities of components in combat. Spare part requirement depends on the principles of the component damage. The damage probability of component refers to the joint probability that the component is killed and the aircraft survive from the battlefield. The results of the example show that the components damage probabilities depend on different encounter situations and aircraft structures.3) Calculating the number of spare parts. It is the destination of the research on aircraft battle damage spare part requirement. The research shows that the number of spare parts is a function of damage probabilities of components and flight sorties. The number can be calculated based on the results of the above steps.4) The numerical simulations show that the method of this paper is effective and feasible.
