At present, many problems exist in the traditional design methods of pressure vessels, such as fussy calculation, much repetition in calculating of the same structure and so on. In order to solve these problems, non-dimension design method (NDDM) has been proposed.Based on the present design methods, the theory and the steps of NDDM have been brought forward. By constructing two kinds of non-dimension parameters through introducing fiducial dimension and pressure, the effect of vessels' material and size have been rejected. According to NDDM, the usual types of the main parts have been designed. In order to validate the results, two supercritical fluid extraction equipment with same structure and different design pressure and size have been calculated. The correctness have been checked by the present standards. So as to avoid the error in using the plots by human, the thought of program about NDDM has been put forward. The basic function, operating capability and design flowchart of the program have been discussed.The results of cylindrical shell, hemispherical heads, fastener structure and the whole reinforcement structure strength in opening have been achieved. The relations about comparatively size and pressure have been shown in these series curves. Using these curves, the trivial and repeated calculation have been gotten rid of.
