Mechanical scientific development set higher demands experiment testing technology, automatic test data collection and processing experiments automatic control technology in the mechanical dynamics theory and experimental data processing error occupies an increasingly important position. In this context, virtual instrument technology has emerged.Through the application procedures. Virtual instrument put computer resources and measurements and control capabilities of instrument hardware together, then achieve data collection and processing and experiments automatic control and through software. The emergence of virtual instrument technology breaks the traditional definition of functional devices by manufacturers, so that users can design in terms of specific requirements needed equipment system and can easily maintain and upgrade the system. Virtual machines in a test system, using computer rapid analysis, processing capabilities to enable real-time functional testing of the system: as in the measurement process, constantly analyzing survey data was based on measurements of changes to control all measurement processes;to conduct real-time measurement data processing, such as filtering, linear, and the error amended;measurements can be shown in real time with the printing.In response to the specific needs of mechanical dynamics experiments, the paper using virtual instrumentation software LabVIEW7.1 developed mechanical test and control system. The paper done the following studies:First, a system design. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the virtual instrument technology and mechanical dynamics experiments features, the paper built the system and the overall structure of the various functional models;the paper analysis and research the software and the hardware required for the system .Secondly, the realization of a systematic design. Making full use of virtual instrument software LabVIEW7.1, the paper develops the various functional modules of the system to meet the needs of mechanical testing experiments.Then, the key technology of system research. A description of the way to connect Lab VIEW with the ordinary data acquisition cards is done, and the control-driven of the movement control card based on the DLL is analyzed.Finally, the system's realization and test is held for example of IEDS experiment platform, and the results of experiments and computer simulation results of experiments conducted comparison.
