The Vortex tube is a energy separation device have a simple structure, including nozzle, vortex room, separate hole, cooled tube and hot tube. Compressing air expands in nozzle, and then enters into vortex tube in the tangent line direction. Compressed Air circumrotate at a high speed in the vortex tube, divided into two different airstreams after vortex in the vortex room, the air in the center of the tube have low temperature, and the air temperature out of the tube higher, adjust the rate of air in cooled and hot, we can get better refrigeration effect and hot effect. Because of its structural simplicity, reliability, no moving parts, lower cost, and other quality, besides the function of refrigeration, heat, deflation and separate gas from fluid, The vortex tube have broad applications in science research and all works of life.Author analysis the theory of the refrigerating of vortex tube, and give the idea of industry cooling using vortex tube, just because abundant compressed air can be provided in industrialization manufacture. Author gets the results of temperature distribution and velocity distribution of the vortex tube and the industry cabinet by the method of simulation software; author set up a performance test system with the compressed air as working medium to test the refrigerating characteristic when vortex tube applied in the industry cabinet. According to the results of experiment, author analyses the factors that affects refrigerating performance of vortex tube, at last we get the refrigeration capacity at definite entrance parameters.
